Where's the Value of My Home Headed?

In the Real Estate Culture of Movement and Change, “Where’s the Value of My Home Headed” is a Common Question

The value of a home goes much deeper than the pocketbook; yet, in this ever changing environment, people are changing jobs and moving more than ever. Therefore, the financial value of a house is a top concern in real estate conversations today.

Quarterly, a panel of industry experts is surveyed to find out just where home prices are headed (The Home Price Expectation Survey is where these individual opinions are gathered and averaged into a single number.). Results indicate home values slowly moving upward. According to Pulsenomics1, this year, 2015, will see home values increasing by 4.1%. Looking five years ahead, experts project a 18.1% cumulative appreciation; the average annual appreciation being 3.4%.

While opinions singled out are making headlines; a fairer picture of what the future may look like is seen in this survey.
